Education
One of the things I’m most proud of in my career is the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for music as both an educator and curriculum developer. As a teacher and lecturer, I’ve worked with thousands of students from a wide range of backgrounds in both one-on-one and classroom settings, helping them build skills, confidence, and their own creative voice.
My teaching blends strong musical foundations with contemporary approaches, including music technology, recording, and production. I care deeply about student ownership, and I regularly support students in forming their own bands, leading ensembles, and creating original work—giving them real opportunities to explore and express who they are as musicians.
As a curriculum and program developer, I’ve partnered with leading education organizations as well as private, public, charter, and community schools to design engaging, inclusive, and performance-driven music programs. These programs are used by students across the United States and internationally.

Jazz in the Classroom:
Established in 2017, “Jazz In The Classroom” was created to address arts programming funding gaps in under-resourced schools by bringing the Jazz/Afrobeat/World ensemble ‘The Brighton Beat’ to host energetic music clinics and workshops.
Offering the program at no cost to schools, it advances arts equity and ensures that young people regardless of background or school resources can meaningfully engage with music.
